Hi, I'm Mikaila!

I started practising yoga in 2011. After a difficult period, I was looking for something to help me feel steady and at home in my body. What began as a personal practice slowly became a long-term commitment to strength, awareness, and resilience.

Over time, I developed a consistent Ashtanga practice and completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2020. Following a health scare, I fell out of practice. Getting back on the mat felt heavier than I expected, and I was unsure how to restart.

That’s when I took my first Pilates class. The teachers I learned from were strong and skilled, but completely unserious in the best way. It reminded me that movement can be meaningful and light at the same time.

It got me moving again; inspired me to train as a Level 3 Mat Pilates instructor; and continues to shape how I teach both yoga and Pilates today.

My goal with every class is simple: creating a safe space for you to move at your own pace; explore the edges of effort and ease; and leave feeling stronger, steadier, and more confident in your body.

There’s no competition, no extremes, and no pressure to perform in my classes.

Some days you’ll challenge yourself.
Some days you’ll move gently.
Both count.

It’s all about you enjoying the experience — without caring how it looks, and noticing how it feels.

xx Kaila

Teaching Style

Inclusive, playful, and empowering. Every moment in class is judgment-free, but not effort-free. ;) I like to layer in challenges and invite you to accept them — or not. With clear, supportive cues and optional hands-on adjustments, I’ll help you move safely and confidently — however you might be showing up that day.
